Cleanroom Assembly & Double-Bag Packaging

The last manufacturing step is as important as machining. Cleaning, cleanroom assembly and packaging decide whether a valve arrives at the tool in the condition its material and surface finish were designed for.

Cleaning

Wetted parts are degreased, cleaned and dried using a controlled process. Residual hydrocarbon or water on a supposedly UHP part will show up later as slow dry-down and an out-of-spec dew point.

Assembly environment

Assembly takes place in a controlled clean area with clean tooling and gloves. Diaphragm and seat installation are the highest-risk steps because they directly touch the flow path.

Double-bag packaging

The valve is sealed in an inner clean bag, capped at every port, then sealed in an outer protective bag. The double-bag lets the inner package be brought into a clean area without exposing the outer surface history.

Labelling and traceability

Each package carries the model, serial number, material heat and leak test reference. That makes a later qualification audit far simpler than reconstructing records from a batch.

On-site discipline

Open the bag only at the installation point, keep caps on until the joint is ready and never return an opened valve to stock as new.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why double-bag a valve?

The outer bag is removed before entering a clean area, so the inner sealed bag keeps the valve isolated from the workshop environment.

Are port caps necessary?

Yes. Caps protect the face-seal faces and keep particulates out of the flow path during transport.
